Honoring the Coast Salish People

The Whidbey Way begins at Point Elliot at Light House Park in Mukilteo, Washington. Nearby, in 1855 Chief Seattle (Sealth) of the Suquamish and Duwamish nations along with numerous area tribes agreed to consolidate on to dedicated tribal lands (previously known as reservations). The pilgrimage route flows though the Coast Salish tribal lands of the Skagit, Swinomish, Suquamish and Snohomish people. The pilgrimage ends on the land of the Coast Samish Nation near Anacortes, WA
